Executive Summary

The scope of this document is to define dissemination of results of MOSAIC planning and implementation phase.
In particular the objective is to describe actions achieved in these months and their results, and individuate and plan future actions

The objectives of the document are the following:

Create and manage:

a virtual place where the debate about different ways to achieve a result a different point of view will be held; a direct line between inter-national operators and national and international institutions (public administration, national and international standards institutes, technical commissions);
a virtual corner where to announce in real-time cultural performances like symposiums, conferences, seminars, courses, meetings making available in electronic source format abstracts, proceedings, gray paper; a virtual Conferences and Forum;
a real-time observatory of European market and European research results; a virtual interface between different worlds like research, culture, industry and market; a shortcut to access data-base and information services

Define recommendation and guidelines for the system.

The result is a document containing this executive summary, the description of applied methodology, a list of main results, a table summarizing most interesting events where MOSAIC has been or will be presented showing the kind of presentation. We also individuated guidelines for future actions.

Applied Methodology

In this chapter is presented the applied methodology to generate a dissemination of results description, focusing on specific MOSAIC needs. The performed activities are mainly:

Set up performing demos and presentations and show them in public events, exhibitions, seminars, and workshops.

Contacts, encounters, meetings and conventions with industries and producers following a planned strategy, with the objective of involving possible partners in MOSAIC project (WPK 1300)

Contacts with similar projects: information interchange with other EC financed projects or interesting web sites and MOSAIC presentations and demo in these contexts

Information retrieval from Internet sites, searching sites were MOSAIC can be presented, study of publications in the Internet, in journals, in projects of research institutes, articles, etc. covering a wide range of cultural heritage sector in order to define future demos or presentations.

Recommendation and Guidelines

Recommendations are as follows:

announce in real-time MOSAIC results during symposiums, meetings, conferences, seminars, courses, virtual Conferences and Forum, making available in electronic source format abstracts, proceedings, gray paper;

observe European market and European research results; MOSAIC should be an interface between different worlds like research, culture, industry and market; a shortcut to access data-base and information services

research new partners during seminars, conferences, and workshops; contact associations of possible partners, such as similar projects

promote new kinds of agreement with partners (content and technology providers, similar projects) having complementary specifications

maintain contacts and monitoring agreement kinds in order to modify or integrate agreements if needed.
