Preface

This document contains an overview on the state of art outlining some technologies or applications that are to be considered as "under observation" for the future developments of MOSAIC.

For ease of reference the access to the content of the document is structured into a general overview on G7 and EU actions followed by four sections (Hardware, Software, Applications, Projects) devoted to specific technologies and applications.

Due to the even increasing state of technology and application, this document will be updated at least one time during the development of the project.
